Mr. Franklin comes to BJU from a 24-year career at Ernst & Young, where he began as an auditor and later joined a leadership team in an advisory services venture focused on risk management. The team grew the business to regional revenues of over $100 million in 9 years. A partner in the firm for nearly 12 years, for the last three he was located in E&Y’s Paris office where he was leading growth in the venture’s Europe, Middle East, India and Africa division. At Ernst & Young he became a global expert in areas such as risk management strategy, leading change and negotiations.
He is a long-time friend of the University and has a passion for it, serving over the last eight years in several capacities including as a member of BJU’s Cooperating Board of Trustees, BJU’s President’s Advisory Council and the BJU Press Consulting Group.
As part of BJU’s executive team, Mr. Franklin assists the president in setting the strategic direction for the University. He provides leadership by implementing strategy for BJU Press, the campus infrastructure, retail and business operations, and the technology infrastructure which supports academic programs and campus operations.
Mr. Franklin earned a BS in Professional Accounting at BJU in 1987 and later became a CPA. He and his wife live in Greenville; they have three children.
