Alaska Mission Team Week 3 (Jr. Camp) Update

Junior high week went well, and the 15 or so campers in attendance received lots of attention from the staff. God was at work in lives of campers and counselors as all heard the Word of God preached several times a day in between crazy games, weird contests, picnics and other assorted camp fun.

Junior high week is a light week here at Higher Ground Baptist Bible camp since this is a camp week for only two grade levels. Matt, Austin, Missy, Megan and April filled counseling and stretcher (junior staff) leadership positions during this week while Janine served in a VBS in the Native village of Galena with Midnight Sun Ministries. Robbie, Nick, Emily, Jessica and Hannah spent the week in Selawik staffing “Camp on Wings.”

While the junior high campers had their schedule, the stretchers worked the kitchen and grounds, fellowshipped and had their own services. For many, these weeks are a way to help pay for the senior high camp week as well as to keep growing in the Lord during the summer.

Praise God for the work done in hearts this week and pray that camper and stretcher decisions would last a lifetime!

For the team,
