Jonathan Schnur
Jonathan was born in Belleville, Illinois, and raised in a Lutheran home. However, he was not
confronted with the Gospel until he attended a Christian school, where he was saved at the age of 15.
Shortly thereafter, Jon sensed the Lord’s call to enter the ministry and enrolled in Bob Jones University,
where he graduated in May 2007 with a bachelor of arts degree in Bible. He plans to pursue a master
of arts degree in Bible Teaching at Bob Jones Jr. Memorial Seminary. Jon has a burden for the St. Louis
metro area, where he grew up, and desires to help plant a church in downtown St. Louis.
Jon was a society officer and was involved in other student leadership positions, in choir, and in many recreational activities while a student at BJU. The summers included many ministry opportunities for Jon. He counseled for a summer at The WILDS Christian Camp, ministered in New York City with Shalom Ministries under the direction of Craig Hartman, and interned at Maranatha Baptist Church in Troy, Missouri.
Jon enjoys playing basketball, baseball, football, and many other sports. He is an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoys music, drama, and reading.
