Staff Evangelist
Mike Shrock
Originally from Seattle, Mike Shrock graduated from Bob Jones University
in 1979 with a bachelor’s degree in music education and went on to receive a master’s degree in trumpet performance from
Boston University. While working on his master’s degree, the Lord called Mike to preach. Upon graduation he accepted a
youth and music pastorate at a church near Springfield, Massachusetts, and then at Calvary Baptist Church in Windsor Locks,
Connecticut. He later served as singles pastor at Bethel Baptist Church in Schaumburg, Illinois. Mike was the BJU
representative for the New England states and New York for nine years. He received the master of ministry degree from
Northland Baptist Bible College shortly after beginning his work with BJU.
Currently Mike is the staff evangelist for Bob Jones University. As an evangelist, he speaks frequently for churches, camps, conferences, church and school retreats, and Christian school chapels all over the U.S. and Canada. In addition to his preaching, Mike is a talented trumpet player and uses his skill frequently in his ministry. He and his wife Lori have one son, Andrew.
The Shrocks live in Greenville, South Carolina, where Lori serves on the nursing faculty of BJU and Andrew attends Bob Jones Academy.
