The College of Arts and Science broadly impacts local communities and much of the world by training men and women to serve and excel in areas such as the media industry, natural sciences, various engineering concentrations, modern languages and national and international civics. Many students graduate ready to pursue professional degrees like the juris doctorate or the doctor of medicine.
By teaching students to understand and constructively respond to the political, social and economic issues facing our nation and world, the College of Arts and Science prepares community leaders to bring ethical, lasting solutions to a needy society. And by integrating faith and learning, we teach men and women more than how to make a living—we teach them how to live.
