Expository Writing Here you will learn the principles and techniques of writing that informs or explains.
Fundamentals of Radio and Television These courses are surveys of the industry organization and program structure with practical experience in creating, directing, editing, and performing.
Broadcast News In this course you will study organization and operation of the news department; gathering, writing, and recording radio news; videotaping and editing TV news and features; and instruction and practice in announcing news, news services, and handling of wire copy.
Reporting This course will focus on the writing of news stories and features, concentrating on news gathering skills.
Internship Upon recommendation of the department’s evaluation committee, senior writing majors who have demonstrated a high level of writing competence work at a local organization in a capacity related to their interest.
