Key Courses

Introduction to Programming This course introduces you to the wonders and challenges of computer programming. What are these man-made machines capable of? How does one talk to a computer in order to tell it how to solve a particular problem? How do we build software systems that will make it possible for non-programmers to be able to solve their problems using a computer? How do you debug programs that do not work properly? This course includes a lab that meets each week to help you gain a better understanding of the concepts taught in the classroom.

Information Technology I&II These courses provide an introduction to fundamental information technology concepts and trouble shooting. Practical hands on problem solving labs give you exposure to installing and configuring operating systems and common software applications. One course will focus on the Windows platform. The other focuses on the Linux platform.

Network Administration In today's "net-centric" society, a smoothly operating network is essential to any business or ministry. This course will teach you the issues involved in setting up and administering a network. You will learn about configuring network services such as email and web services, managing user accounts, and securing a network against unauthorized access.
