LEAP is an exciting program which allows qualified rising high school seniors who plan to enroll in a degree program at BJU to earn college credit early by signing up for our Limited Early Admission Program (LEAP). Upon qualifying, you may earn up to 18 hours of college credit (the equivalent of one semester of study) before graduating from high school.

What are my options?

There are three ways to take advantage of LEAP:

What are the advantages?

  • Earn up to 18 hours of credit toward a college degree while you are still in high school.
  • Save money by taking course work now and reducing the cost of your college education.
  • Use the flexible schedule of correspondence to meet the demands of your busy life.
  • Make wise use of the summer months.
  • Graduate from college early by taking advantage of summer school and Extended Education courses now.

Do I qualify?

  • You must have completed your junior year of high school, or be within 12 months of graduation.
  • You must have superior test scores on standard achievement examinations. You must be doing consistent A- or B-level work in your high school courses.
  • You must be recommended by your principal or home school parent in order to be accepted into this program.

Are there any stipulations?

  • LEAP courses are offered for college credit only and therefore are not recognized as high school graduation requirements by BJU (dual credit).
  • LEAP credits will be held in escrow until you complete one full year at BJU.
  • After that time, your credits will be applied toward the requirements of your degree program.
