About
April Schwingle joined the Art and Design faculty in 2003. A graduate of Bob Jones University, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design in 2000 and her Master of Arts in Studio Art in 2002. Following graduation, she contined to study with professional potters in North Carolina. Her work has appeared in specialty shops, art shows, and Southern Living Magazine
Since joining the Art and Design faculty, April Schwingle has overseen the Ceramics Studio and taught all levels of Ceramics, Color Theory, Art Appreciation, and Foundations of Art and Design. She is currently Department Head, Department of Art.
April Schwingle has also had a great interest in missions. She and her husband have lead 4 teams to Great Britain with Bob Jones University. Their emphasis is comunicating the gospel through the arts. The most recent team was Summer 2023.
In addition to her academic responsibilities, April Schwingle is the owner of April Schwingle Pottery.
