Casting Call Begins June 12

Bob Jones University and Unusual Films are excited to announce the beginning of production for an upcoming feature film. The new film, “1920s Baseball Film” (untitled), is set in the upstate of South Carolina in the 1920’s and will feature textile mill baseball—and we’re looking for actors!

About Unusual Films

BJU and Unusual Films have a long tradition of producing Christian films, and previous titles include Sheffey, Flame in the Wind and The Printing. Our films are designed to honor the Lord and tell stories from a Christian perspective.

Casting

Casting will begin in the next few weeks, and parts are available for all ages. There are a number of key speaking roles to fill as well as smaller speaking parts and many good opportunities for background extras. As usual, participation in the film will be voluntary and without pay.

Due to the nature of filmmaking and our production schedule, people cast in main speaking roles will need to be available for approximately one year and will need to have some flexibility in their schedules. Smaller roles and background extras will be needed for just a few days. You should be a resident of the Greenville area.

How do I volunteer to be a cast member?

To be considered for a role, please fill out our online casting form. You will be contacted via email with more information in a few weeks.

If you are considered for a speaking part, we will schedule a personal interview for you at the Unusual Films studio. If you have a head shot or resume, you may bring it with you at that time. You may be photographed or videotaped at that meeting, and there may be further callbacks for screentesting.

If you are not cast in a main speaking role, we will keep your information on file and contact you as opportunities arise for smaller roles.

We hope that you will be interested in participating in this ministry with us.
