Future Careers
A major in elementary education is also unique preparation for parenting. A great deal of what a child learns is acquired in the first five years; with this training, you can give your child a tremendous head start. If you choose to teach your child at home, you will be very thoroughly prepared to be the teacher of your home-school. Elementary education will also train you for teaching either your own or other children on the mission field.
A Christian School Recruitment Conference is sponsored by the Career Services office each February. Over 100 administrators and principals from many states and some foreign countries gather to interview and hire new teachers for their schools. This conference will give you many opportunities to find a place of service after you graduate. In addition, students can network with schools through our online placement service, CareerCentral. Hundreds of employment opportunities are posted annually. The Career Services office also helps students by holding seminars on resume preparation and interview techniques.
Career Services can help you prepare for job hunting and networking with employers.
