School of Applied Studies

David B. Mellor, M.B.A., M.Div., Dean

The School of Applied Studies is designed to provide knowledge of the Word of God and character development with a twofold purpose: to train students to effectively serve the Lord and to equip them for careers in ministry or trade professions.

The School of Applied Studies is modeled after the community and vocational-technical junior colleges. The School offers three-year Associate of Applied Arts and Associate of Applied Science degrees. The associate degree prepares students to continue their education at the baccalaureate level or to enter the ministry or trade profession. One- and two-year certificate programs are also available for students to develop a skill or to learn the basics of a trade. These certificates may be applied toward an Associate of Science degree.
