Key Courses
Automatic Transmissions and Transaxles In this course you will learn to diagnose, tear down, and rebuild automatic transmissions and transaxles.
Gasoline Engine Overhaul This course will give you "hands on" experience in tearing down and totally rebuilding an engine, repairing or replacing defective parts, etc. You will learn what can be repaired versus what has to be replaced. When finished, you will install the engine back into the car and test-drive it before the car is returned to the owner.
Diesel Engine Overhaul This course gives you experience in disassembling, repairing, and reassembling diesel engines typically found in trucks and heavy equipment.
Auto-Diesel Internship Provides practical hands-on experience in a shop environment in which you work on customers' vehicles. Students will work on auto-diesel projects, develop diagnostic skills, and gain customer relation skills. This course will serve to reinforce and enhance our classroom instruction.
Career Opportunities
Our graduates are working in general automotive repair shops, fleet garages, car dealerships, and diesel shops. Some have gone on summer mission teams to maintain missionary vehicles. We receive a number of requests for graduates to maintain church and Christian school bus fleets, automotive dealerships, general repair shops, and specialty shops, both locally and across the nation.
