Key Courses

Communicating with Children In this class emphasis will be placed on language development, storytelling and other communication skills involved in successfully working with children.

Speech for Women This course covers issues of character and appearance, counseling, and leading ladies’ Bible study groups. You will be able to polish your public speaking skills in preparation and delivery of speeches on biblical topics.

Teaching Techniques Topics discussed will include instructional equipment selection and use, effective teaching techniques and a Christian philosophy of education. Hands-on projects will include a bulletin board and PowerPoint presentation.

Career Opportunities

While graduates of this program work in various capacities for churches, Christian schools, and other ministries, many of the graduates secure jobs in secular employment. These graduates are able to support their church financially, and they are also able to use their training to provide leadership as Sunday school teachers, Awana leaders, youth group sponsors, and other important support roles for the local church.
