What is the emphasis of the program?

We are committed to providing a Christ-centered MBA experience that will prepare students for a dynamic business climate. We build a solid foundation of functional business knowledge and hone skills in leadership, teamwork, communication, and technology. Classes are designed to build technical competence in emerging and small business development skills.

How will a typical monthly schedule look?

Delivery of the program will be unique. This 15-month program will feature classroom and distance education formats conducted during evenings and on weekends.

What if my undergraduate degree is in a field other than business?

Applicants with non-business undergraduate degrees will have to complete a marketing course (Principles of Marketing) and an introductory business course (Introduction to Business & Mathematical Concepts). Both courses are available on campus or through the Office of Extended Education.

What if I have previous training in business from my undergraduate degree?

Applicants with business undergraduate degrees will be able to complete the 39-credit program in 15 months.

May I be a part-time student?

The MBA program requires an applicant to obtain and apply concurrent knowledge in operations, marketing, and finance. Success in the program will require participation at the scheduled pace.

What are the entrance requirements?

The Admissions Committee will review your entire application package, weighing prior academic, professional, intellectual, and personal accomplishments. We seek students who hold a bachelor's degree and have outstanding leadership potential. (Note: Students who have a deficiency in business and Bible courses can meet these deficiencies through courses offered through our Office of Extended Education.) The application will be evaluated based upon prior academic performance, previous work experience, GMAT score, essay questions, and letters of recommendation. (Note: The GMAT will be waived if the student has a CPA.)

How does a student receive distance instruction?

Distance education will be delivered to students via satellite during the Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday sessions outlined. Students will participate in lectures and student discussions using hardware provided by BJU and their own television and telephone. These sessions will be supplemented by monthly on-site instruction.

How much will the program cost?

The tuition for the MBA program is $389 per credit hour, which equals $3,500 for a 9-credit semester. For most students, the cost for the 15-month program will be $15,171 plus additional expenses for transportation, lodging, and books.

Where do I stay for the on-campus classes?

Residence Hall rooms are available for $20 per night, which includes meals. Linens are $5 extra. However, you may stay at a local hotel at your expense.
