Business & Commercial Aviation
This major is designed to prepare a student for a career as a commercial pilot. Flight courses provide ground and flight instruction for the Private Pilot Certificate as well as advanced training leading to the attainment of the instrument rating and the Commercial Pilot Certificate with ratings for single and multi-engine aircraft. Supportive courses in business, computers, liberal arts, and Bible are included as an integral part of the student's preparation to serve God as a professional pilot.

Key Courses
Instrument Ground School In this course you will study the theory of instrument flying, rules and procedures governing instrument flight, operational techniques including communications, en route navigational aids, instrument approach procedures, distance measuring equipment, radar, and emergency procedures.
Instrument Flight Here you will have the opportunity to take instrument flight training in the new Diamond airplanes and flight simulators. You will develop professional skills such as IFR cross-country flights, holding procedures, radar procedures, use of instrument landing systems, and air traffic control procedures.
Aviation Safety and Survival This course will be essential to your future in aviation. You will study the history of aviation safety, the causes and prevention of accidents, and survival techniques using actual survival equipment.
Principles of Management In this elective course you will develop an understanding of how the management process actually works. You will learn how to plan, organize, direct, and control the process of management; and you will develop an appreciation for the roles of leadership and communication in the management field.
