This major prepares individuals for employment in non-teaching positions involving health, fitness, and recreation. The program is designed specifically for those who are interested in working in the recreational aspect of a camping ministry, boys' and girls' club work, fitness center, or employer- provided recreational facilities.

Key Courses

Treatment and Care of Athletic Injuries This course will teach you the techniques for prevention, recognition, referral, and follow-up care of injuries in athletics.

Officiating Here you will learn the theory and practice in officiating major and minor sports. You will also study and learn how to interpret official rules.

First Responder The purpose of this course is to provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary in an emergency to help sustain life, reduce pain, and minimize the consequences of injury or sudden illness until more advanced medical help can arrive.
