Stephen J. Hankins, Ph.D., Dean
Bob Jones University Seminary exists to cultivate in men a heart of love for God and a desire to glorify Him above all else in every aspect of life. Our purpose is to train these men to set an example of personal sacrifice and holiness, that the churches they pastor and ministries they lead will be a tribute to the power of our Savior. We are further committed to equipping men to proclaim the Word of God with precise accuracy and powerful application to life where people live it day by day. By the grace of God, our aim also is to set a fire of evangelistic zeal in the soul of every student that will burn warmly and brightly for the lost in America and throughout the world so the great commission will be fulfilled in obedience to our Lord Jesus Christ.
As our God enables us, we will continue to prepare highly skilled pastors, evangelists, and missionaries for the next generation. These men will staff many of the fundamental churches, schools, and mission stations in the U.S. and around the world, as they have for the last several generations. Before Christ returns, our hope is to see a Bob Jones Seminary graduate planting a new church in each of the one hundred largest population centers in the United States. We hope also to see each of the 192 nations of the world as the field of ministry for both a missionary church planter and a ministry trainer who have prepared to serve Christ at Bob Jones University Seminary. These goals are reachable by the power of the Risen Christ through His Spirit.
