Master of Ministry

Master of Ministry

The Master of Ministry program is designed for those who have a minimum of two years of pastoral experience and who, due to the demands of a present pastoral ministry, are unable to enroll in a year-long program in the Seminary. Instead, courses are offered in two-week concentrated sessions in January and July. This degree is designed to further develop a man's philosophy of ministry and his ministry skills both in the local church and on the mission field.

Ministry Management Principles This course provides you with practical, time-tested principles of effective management as they apply to the local church and the Christian school. Topics to be covered include guidelines in leadership, effective communication, planning, organizing, implementing, and controlling.

Expository Preaching from Biblical Historical Narrative This course addresses vital hermeneutical principles for the interpretation and proclamation of the narrative sections of both the Old and New Testaments.

Expository Preaching from Matthew In this course you learn practical guidelines and hermeneutical principles involved in effective expository preaching from the Gospel of Matthew.

The Pastor as Crisis Counselor This class presents biblical strategies for handling crisis issues such as suicide, abuse, sexual perversion, addictive behaviors, marriage problems, divorce, terminal disease, and bereavement.
