Specialized study of hymnology, children's choirs, and seasonal programs is supplemented with continued study of music history, theory, choral conducting, and composition.
Although its primary focus is the preparation of men for the music pastorate, the program also welcomes women who anticipate supportive ministries such as music coordinator, accompanist, youth/children's choir director, etc., in the local church. Young ladies, some as wives of laymen or of pastors, provide invaluable assistance to local ministries as church pianists, organists, children's choir directors, and music coordinators.
