With a Master of Music degree in Voice, you will be trained for a career as a church musician, a private studio teacher, or a teacher at the college level. You will receive training that is thorough in technique and repertoire and at the same time practical and useful. Music instruction is offered without additional cost above the regular tuition.

Key Courses
Performance Major A large portion of your degree will be spent in private study in voice. This will give you the opportunity to master your performance area through intensive one-on-one lessons with a professional teacher.
The Christian Musician This elective course will guide you in your development of a distinctly Christian philosophy of music based on and in agreement with Scripture. You will examine twentieth-century trends, styles, and movements of secular and church music in the light of Scripture.
Middle Ages, Renaissance, Baroque Era, Classic Era, Romantic Era, and Music Since 1900 In these elective classes, you will look at the historical development and stylistic analysis of the literature of the period, including recorded illustrations, scores, and classroom performances.
Voice Literature In this class you will survey selected works for voice. Special emphasis is placed on analysis, style, and development of technique.
Advanced Methods of Vocal Technique Here you will analyze, compare, and evaluate various methods and teaching techniques. You will receive instruction in advanced principles of vocal production, projection, and interpretation.
Career Opportunities
Our alumni are serving in church music ministries throughout the country. In addition, our graduates are teaching in Christian schools and public schools in every part of the U.S. and are on the faculties of most of the major fundamental Bible colleges and universities. A number of our graduates also have successful careers as private studio teachers.
