Percy has been involved in a number of design-related opportunities since finishing his degree. Right after graduation he was hired by a small design firm in Pleasanton, California, and worked for clients such as Sun-Maid Raisins and Mother’s Cookies. He also ran a start-up online automotive race parts catalog from his parent’s home. Percy taught design and web development for two years at Silicon Valley College.

Percy served as Hewlett Packard’s online store senior lead designer for four years. For his work at HP, he won a silver medal for Best Catalog Website 2003.

Percy ran his own ad agency for three years, and is now an independent consultant. Percy’s clients include Verizon Wireless, Zazzle.com and Gameloft.

Percy says that one of his most interesting projects to date has been his management of the 2005 Q and Chocolate promotional launches for Verizon Wireless for Northern California and Nevada. Also of note, the design team put together by Percy made the final two firms to compete for the redesign of Nvidia.com—the winning firm is yet to be announced.

Percy says of the BJU graphic design program, “I loved it. I was in only the second year of the program, but the basic design tenets I was taught have stuck with me throughout my career and helped differentiate my philosophy, design approaches and education from other art schools.”
