The Cinema program is designed to give you professional training in all phases of motion picture production. Our program has gained a national reputation because it teaches all aspects of film and video production, including directing, editing, camerawork, sound, and lighting. Key Courses
Production Fundamentals This course surveys the production process in both film and video, with attention to scripting, directing, shooting, sound recording, and editing concepts. You will learn the basic operation of small motion picture and video cameras, along with an introduction to non-linear editing.
Digital Imaging Techniques In this class you will learn to use digital imaging software that is quickly becoming the norm in this industry, with particular emphasis on PhotoShop as it applies to motion picture and video production.
Cinema Directing Here you will deal with the problems and responsibilities of the director in preparing a shooting script. The course includes pre-production planning and integrating of the various functions of the motion picture production and principles and methods in composition of films.
