In the Radio & Television (RTV) Department, the course of study combines classroom instruction with practical experience. Those who enroll in RTV classes are also required to serve on the staff of the student-run campus broadcast stations, since this is considered to be a general lab for all RTV courses. Practical experience can be gained through participation in any of the following areas.

WBJU-FM Radio

WBJU-FM broadcasts daily from 7 am to 11 pm, featuring live news/talk and sports, and pre-recorded interview, and automated music programming, all produced by students.

WBJU-Television

Students have the opportunity to shoot and edit campus news features, produce interview programs in the TV studio, conduct telecasts of university sports events, and edit the Daily News Digest that airs over the campus TV network.

Campus Media

Students sell advertising to local businesses that appears in The Collegian newspaper, the annual BJU Calendar of Events, and WBJU-FM.
