The major in Bible Evangelism is intended for men who plan to serve as evangelists or in a ministry in which the interpretation and proclamation of the Word of God represent the major emphasis. This program is set up so the student will receive a strong Bible base as well as an understanding of the special challenges that confront this calling.

Key Courses

Core Bible classes These tailor-made classes will take you through the entire Old Testament and New Testament, emphasizing chapter content, interpretation, understanding of problem passages, and how to teach and preach each particular type of literature.

Pulpit Speech For two semesters you will receive instruction in the effective preparation and presentation of sermon material. Since your ministry majors on communicating truth, this class provides a hands-on opportunity to develop and practice the necessary skills.

History of Revival and Evangelism, The Evangelist, The Ministry of Evangelism, Evangelistic Preaching During your senior year these four special classes especially focus on your calling. They are team-taught by men currently involved in evangelism.

Career Opportunities

The School of Religion extension office will assist you in finding positions for Christian service. Pastors, camp directors, mission board directors, and other recruiters often visit the campus to find personnel for their ministries. Graduates can be found serving the Lord in a wide variety of fields—from teaching to working on the mission field.
