When you arrive for check-in, your first stop should be the Davis Field House (DFH). We’ll have signs all over the place to direct you, so just follow them. It’ll be easy.
At the DFH, you’ll want to stop by the various stations where you’ll pick up things like:
- Your admission certificate (your BJU contact information, placement test information & more)
- Your BJU ID card* (remember to dress for it! Whatever picture of you ends up on it is what you’re stuck with for 4 years)
- Your information packet (the BJU calendar and Welcome Week schedule for this week. Keep these handy!)
*if you picked up your BJU ID card at summer orientation, bring it with you so we can activate it.
You can also bring your laptop to the Information Technology (IT) station and we’ll connect it to the campus network. We’ll have this station open during check-in hours.
Let your parents know about our reception area in the DFH where they can connect with faculty on Friday and Saturday. There’s also a parent reception on Saturday, Aug. 30 at 6:30 p.m. where they can meet with staff members in the areas of academics and Student Life.
Now you’re ready to move in! You’ll find your room number in your information packet. If you need help finding your residence hall, check out our campus map or ask another student or a member of faculty or staff for directions.
