Nathanael Gentilhomme
Hometown: Hopkinton, N.H.
Undergrad Degree: Bible, music minor
Graduate Degree: Master of Divinity
What are your hobbies?
Studying, writing papers…no, really I actually do have some fun things I do. You may think I am weird, but I like growing plants, especially orchids most recently, and also enjoy hiking, mountain biking, skiing, basketball and most things having to do with music.
What was your favorite class in college? Why?
History of Doctrine in my first year of seminary has been my favorite class. I enjoyed learning about the history of the Christian faith and the men who stood for God and the Bible without compromise through the ages.
What is your favorite college memory?
Traveling on the BJU Musical Ministry Team for one summer. The Lord grew and changed me in many ways that summer.
Why did you choose BJU?
The Lord led me to BJU through the counsel of friends and family. I knew that God had called me to full-time ministry, but I also desired a well-rounded liberal arts education from a Christian perspective.
What are your plans after graduation?
Lord willing, I will be going into the Army as an Army Chaplain.
Any advice for incoming students?
I would say (from experience) don’t bring tons of things that you might need to BJU your first year. Only bring what you will need. You have four years to accumulate junk in your room—don’t bring it all down the first year.
If you could visit one place, where would it be?
The moon. Imagine talking about that one over coffee.
What type of high school did you graduate from?
Christian school
