Sam Rohrer

Sam Rohrer served his state for over twenty-five years. After earning a BS in management from BJU in 1977, Rep. Rohrer moved to Pennsylvania where he became involved in business. In 1992 he was elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Since the beginning of his political career, our recipient has demonstrated a commitment to government reform and transparency. As the ranking chairman of the House Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee, he seeks to protect the interests of the agricultural industry as well as small family farms. In addition, his 16 years of service on the Education Committee have earned him the reputation of being a tireless advocate for parents and children. As architect and prime sponsor of the School Property Tax Elimination Act, our honoree has also earned the statewide title “champion for the taxpayer.”

Rep. Rohrer’s work has earned him recognition from various tax, family and educational organizations. He has also been the recipient of the Statesman of the Year Award and Cyber Families Leadership Award.

Our recipient’s consistency in his personal and political life stems from his dedication to God and his love for his family. In recognition of steadfast, faithful service and of achievement in the calling which God has given, the Alumni Association Executive Committee is pleased to present this Alumni Achievement Citation to Representative Sam Rohrer.
