The mission of the Bob Jones University Alumni Association is to serve graduates and friends united in support of one another, the school, and the Gospel through prayer, networking, giving and promotion.
One of the ways we support one another during the Christmas season is through our Giving Tree. We have given presents for the families of active military alumni, tuition aid for alumni children, and aided in the adoption of a child into an alumni family. This year we seek to aid an alumni family in need.
This year we will be helping the family of two Life members of the Association. These alumni are 1985 graduates with one child who has graduated from BJU, two are present students working their ways through, and one child could not attend as she is using her savings to help her parents. Their financial troubles are due to the husband’s continuing disability and the wife’s recent diagnosis and surgery for stage 4 melanoma.
Gifts that come in online between now and December 5th will be included as a decoration on the Giving Tree presented during the BJU Alumni Association Christmas as the Gazebo event. Gifts received by the end of the day on Sunday, December 14, will also be included in the final gift presented to the family.
Thank you to all who have given and to those who will give. This is just one more way that you as alumni are helping to carry out the mission of the Association through supporting one another financially.
