Why did you choose BJU?
My parents went to BJU, and growing up I was involved in various competitions on campus. I loved the friendly atmosphere and BJU's desire to promote Christ-likeness in their students.
What was your favorite class in college? Why?
I really enjoyed the practicality of Women in Christian Service. I still have my notes from this class and will refer to them for many years to come.
What are your hobbies or interests when you’re not doing homework?
I enjoy piano, violin, spending time with friends, hiking, ultimate Frisbee, racquetball and most outdoor activities!
What sort of campus organizations were you involved in?
I was secretary for my society, Zeta Tau Omega.
What is your favorite college memory?
Working with some of my closest friends in a teen Bible club ministry.
What is your favorite meal out of all the food establishments on campus?
The Technical Foul from The Fast Break (on an herb garlic wrap)--delicious!
Any advice for incoming students?
No matter how busy you get with school and extracurricular activities, get involved in a good local church and never let your time with God take the back burner.
If you could visit 1 place, where would it be?
Colorado or anywhere out West!
What’s your favorite verse or Scripture passage?
One verse that has meant a lot to me since my senior year in high school is Phil. 3:8—“Yea doubtless, and I count all things [but] loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them [but] dung, that I may win Christ.”
Name 1 person you’d like to meet and why?
I look forward to the day when I will get to meet Paul from the New Testament. I admire his bold evangelistic approach to life.
