What type of high school did you graduate from?
Public school
Why did you choose BJU?
I really wanted to go to a Christian school, and my passion was art. There were 2 schools I was looking at, but when I came to visit BJU, I thought the Lord made it clear that He wanted me here.
How have you grown over your years at BJU?
I am amazed at how God has changed me over my years at BJU. I have grown spiritually by learning what it really means to 'know God' and socially by learning to communicate with and love people as God's image bearers. I have developed a love for learning in all kinds of subject areas, and have been taught how to learn through my challenging classes.
What was your favorite class in college? Why?
It’s so hard to say because I love promoting all my classes, but my top 2 favorites are Philosophy of Education and Fundamentals of Counseling.
What is your favorite college memory?
One of my favorite things was the joy of experimenting with our limited dorm resources to make dinner on Sunday nights with my roommates. My favorite thing to make is triangle pancakes in a sandwich maker, and then my roommate would put her famous peanut butter spread on them.
What is your favorite meal out of all the food establishments on campus?
Definitely the roast beef sandwiches in the Dining Common.
What are your hobbies or interests when you’re not doing homework?
I love to paint, draw and sculpt. I like to cook and bake and learn about how things work.
If you could visit 1 place, where would it be?
Either Mexico or Italy. If I had paints, I would go to Italy. I have always wanted to paint there.
What’s your favorite verse or Scripture passage?
Ephesians 1:13-14—“In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.”
