What was your favorite class in college? Why?

Voice Methods for the Choral Director. This class developed in me a love for directing choirs and prepared me for a future in choral conducting. It also greatly benefited me in my teaching internships.

What sort of campus organizations were you involved in?

Society—I was an officer for a semester. 3 different choirs—University Singers, Lyric Choir and Concert Choir

What sort of campus ministries were you involved in?

I was involved in a Sunday morning extension for 3 years and sang in different groups in the Sunday morning worship services and Vespers.

What is your favorite meal out of all the food establishments on campus?

Chicken patties and baked potatoes in the Dining Common

What are your plans after graduation?

I plan to hopefully teach elementary music and help out in a small church plant.

Any advice for incoming students?

Get involved right away. Your freshman year is a great time to get involved in lots of extracurricular activities that you might not have time for later on. It’s also a great year to make lots of friends!

If you could visit 1 place, where would it be?

Greece! I love the beauty of the Mediterranean and have always been fascinated by the history and culture of Greece.

What’s your favorite verse or Scripture passage?

Psalm 13:6—“I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.”

Name 1 person you’d like to meet and why?

The Queen of England. I think she’s cool.

What are your hobbies or interests when you’re not doing homework?

Reading, cooking and spending time with my awesome friends
