What type of high school did you graduate from?

Christian school

Why did you choose BJU?

I wanted to go into business at the time, and I also wanted to go to a Christian university. I knew that BJU had an excellent School of Business, so it seemed like a great fit.

How have you grown over your years at BJU?

Not only have I learned more than I ever imagined, but I have a much deeper relationship with my God and Savior. Hearing God’s Word preached and learning the Bible in class deepened what I heard my whole life and solidified my own convictions. I now know what I believe and why I believe it; I now think with more discernment.

What was your favorite class in college? Why?

Letters was my favorite. We learned the history and background of all the different New Testament letters. Analyzing the pattern of thought as a whole gives greater insight into God’s revelation.

What was a misconception you had about BJU that was proven wrong when you became a student here?

I thought BJU would have a ton of nerdy people and found out it was full of some of the best Christian young people across the country.

What are your plans after graduation?

I want to be a youth pastor and also work on college campuses with Cross Impact.

Any advice for incoming students?

You are going to have to work hard, but make sure you take time for other people. And above all else, make your relationship with Christ your number one priority.

What are your hobbies or interests when you’re not doing homework?

I love to play basketball, golf and tennis. I also enjoy reading and playing Madden with friends.

What’s your favorite verse or Scripture passage?

II Corinthians 5:21—“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”
