What type of high school did you graduate from?

Christian school

How have you grown over your years at BJU?

I have found my knowledge and understanding of the scriptures to be vastly expanded since my arrival 5 years ago. I have also learned a great deal about dealing with people and how to cope with my own failings to become a better Christian and a better man.

What was a misconception you had about BJU that was proven wrong when you became a student here?

I thought that there would not be much to do at Bob Jones University, but when I became a student, I found more to choose from than I could do.

What is your favorite meal out of all the food establishments on campus?

Heritage day dinner. Ham, mashed potatoes, candied apples and desert, that is good.

What is your favorite spot to hang out on campus?

The residence hall with a few friends.

What are your plans after graduation?

I would like to be a pastor or missionary after I finish here.

Any advice for incoming students?

Take time to get to know the people around you and minister to them. You are always happier focused on God and others.

What’s your favorite verse or Scripture passage?

Ephesians 1:3-11—“Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; ”

This passage has helped me focus on Christ more instead of myself so much. He has done so many great things for me!

What are your hobbies or interests when you’re not doing homework?

I like to be with my wife most of all, but I also like to hang out with friends, play sports, hike, watch movies or read. Eating is great too!
