Student Work Program
Earn up to $3,400 per year
BJU’s Student Work Program enables you to earn money through campus jobs. If you qualify, you can earn up to $3,400 per year working 5 to 25 hours a week. We offer work opportunities in 70 departments.
You’ll work with managers who are concerned for your academic well-being and are flexible in accommodating your class schedule.
The program gives priority to undergraduate students living in the residence halls. A limited number of work students may also qualify for the Federal Work-Study Program.
We cannot guarantee work for all students and cannot guarantee that each student will earn the approved amount each week.
Working on Campus as an International Student
As an international student, you are limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week. You are also subject to additional labor laws.
If you plan to work on campus, BJU will help you apply for a Social Security Number (SSN) during the first week of a semester. In order to qualify for a SSN, you must enter the United States in F-1 student status and have a job offer on campus.
Students applying for a SSN should pick up a letter of employment and SSN application from the Office of Student Services once you arrive on campus. Transportation off campus to the local Social Security Administration office is available upon request.
