Sports

soccer or basketball game

BJU’s intramural sports program is designed to let everyone compete, whether you started on every sports team in high school or you polished the silver bench on the sidelines. Societies are divided into American and National leagues for men and women.

Just like you get a liberal arts education in the classroom, you get a “full-body workout” on the field or in the gym. Because BJU wants to train the whole person, the sports program is designed to strengthen you physically, emotionally and spiritually. From early-morning practice, to the pressure during a big game to prayer in the locker room, you’ll find that your involvement in sports can develop your character.

Ministry Through Sports

Several extensions use sports as a means of sharing the Word. Student-led extensions include martial arts programs, activities with the Boys and Girls Clubs and basketball at the YMCA.

Every summer, the Brazil Soccer team travels to Brazil and plays soccer competitively as a means of witnessing.
