Community Service Council
The purpose of the Community Service Council is to express the love of Christ through service to others outside of the University and thereby build a strong, friendly relationship between Bob Jones University and the community.
In fulfillment of that purpose, we seek:
- To serve others in any way possible,
- To provide BJU students the opportunity to engage in selfless service,
- To elevate the reputation of Bob Jones University,
- To ultimately increase the testimony of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
In 2008, Bob Jones University was included on the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll, recognizing the over 40,000 hours that BJU students have given back to the Greenville community.
Community service projects include:
- blood drives
- art festivals
- local school events
- parks clean-up
- Special Olympics
- Goodwill-Subway Big Dig
- Greenville County Recreation Department events
