Classic Players
The Classic Players, an outstanding college Shakespearean repertoire group, is open to students who show the requisite ability in public tryouts. Two major productions are presented each year, including Shakespearean plays such as “Hamlet,” “Henry V,” “Macbeth," “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and “Othello.” Performance Archive
Mock Trial Team
The Mock Trial team introduces students to the drama of the courtroom. Each fall, after receiving new case materials from the American Mock Trial Association, members begin preparing two cases, one for the state and one for the defense. Lawyers analyze witness statements and prepare questions for direct- and cross- examination, while witnesses immerse themselves in the characters they will represent. Whether as lawyers or witnesses, team members sharpen their ability to think critically and communicate with conviction.
Student Legislature
The South Carolina Student Legislature is an intercollegiate organization whose purpose is to help improve student understanding of the legislative process. Delegates prepare legislation and guide it through committee, the House of Representatives and the Senate in a mock legislative session held in Columbia, S.C., the state's capital, every fall semester. Membership in the Bob Jones University delegation is open to students of all academic majors and is determined through competitive interviews conducted during the spring semester.
