Opportunity Days

November 2013

Career preparation, relationship building, spiritual growth—your college experience will set the course for the rest of your life. Websites and brochures can help you make the crucial decision of which college to attend, but nothing beats seeing a place with your own eyes.

Students enjoying Opportunity Days

If you are in 9th–12th grade, we invite you to be our guest for a few days. We’ll put you up in the residence halls, provide your meals, let you visit classes and arrange for you to meet with faculty members.

You can talk to current students and check out our campus. We’ll even mix in some fun times with the other high schoolers here for Opportunity Days.

What’s there to do?

Visit classes of your choice

We’ll give you a class schedule so you can visit ones that pique your curiosity.

Catch a Vision for Success

Choose from back-to-back, half-hour sessions to get an idea of how to begin your college journey and what that journey will involve. Sessions are Financial Aid and Knowing God's Will.

Attend chapel

On Thursday morning, gather with the entire BJU student body and faculty in the 7,000-seat Founder’s Memorial Amphitorium for a time set aside for worship and learning from God’s Word.

Meet student leaders

Student Leadership Council members eat dinner with you and give you a student perspective on life at BJU. Ask them lots of questions, especially about how they decided to come to BJU. Remember, they were once in your shoes.

Ask the experts

Administration members will be ready to answer your questions about finances, enrollment, student life and more.

Take some time to relax

Relax in the Snack Shop, use up some energy at the Davis Field House or just hang out with students in the Student Center.

Get one-on-one attention

If you would like to meet personally with a faculty member in the area of your academic interest while you are on campus, please call Admission at 1-800-252-6363 one week prior to your arrival.
