Opportunity Days

November 19–20, 2009 & March 18–19, 2010

Make Your Plans Now

Student(s) enjoying Opportunity DaysCareer preparation, relationship building, spiritual growth—your college experience will set the course for the rest of your life. Websites and brochures can help you make the crucial decision of which college to attend, but nothing beats seeing a place with your own eyes.

Be our guest at BJU for a few days. Stay in the residence halls, eat in our dining facilities, visit classes and meet faculty members. You can talk to current students and check out BJU’s campus. We’ll even mix in some fun times with the other high schoolers here for Opportunity Days.

What’s there to do?

Visit classes of your choice

We’ll give you a class schedule so you can visit ones that pique your curiosity.

Watch Images of Light

Our 35-minute, digitally mastered multi-image presentation gives you a glimpse of the student experience at BJU. Settle into a comfortable seat to watch the fast-paced visuals set to music. Shown several times daily.

Catch a Vision for Success

BJU administrators and faculty members present the Vision for Success Seminar on Thursday and Friday afternoons. Topics include choosing a major, time management, financial aid opportunities, finding God’s will, becoming an effective leader, liberal arts education and student life at BJU. Parents and youth leaders are also welcome to attend.

Attend chapel

On Thursday morning, gather with the entire BJU student body and faculty in the 7,000-seat Founder’s Memorial Amphitorium for a time set aside for worship and learning from God’s Word.

Meet student leaders

Student Leadership Council members eat dinner with you and give you a student perspective on life at BJU. Ask them lots of questions, especially about how they decided to come to BJU. Remember, they were once in your shoes.

Ask the experts

A panel of administrators are ready to answer your questions about financial, disciplinary, and enrollment policies, as well as questions about the "legends and myths" of BJU.

Take some time to relax

Students enjoying Opportunity DaysThursday evening, enjoy game time in the Davis Field House, followed by skits performed by BJU students. After that, meet for a time of singing, special music from students and a challenge from God’s Word.

Enjoy some drama

If you come for the November Opportunity Days, don't miss out on a chance to see Great Expectations in Rodeheaver Auditorium on Friday night. Tickets can be purchased by calling Programs & Productions at 864.242.5100, ext. 5750. The University Classic Players will present this adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic novel.
