Graduation Requirements
Because BJA is a preparatory school for Bob Jones University, our graduation requirements reflect admissions requirements for the University. Students desiring to go to other colleges may want to verify that they meet the requirements for South Carolina public school graduation.
BJA Graduation Requirements
- Completion of 22 units of standard high school work including the units listed below
- English — 4 units (English 9-12)
- Social Studies — 3 units (U.S. History, Government/Economics, Social Studies elective)
- Mathematics — 3 units (Algebra I, Geometry, Mathematics elective)
- Science — 3 units (Biological, Physical, one elective)
- Physical Education — 1 unit
- Bible — 2 units (Bible must be taken every semester)
- Completion of the American College Test (ACT)
- Completion of the final two regular semesters in Bob Jones Academy
South Carolina Graduation Requirements
English — 4 units
Math — 4 units
Science — 3 units (some schools do not recognize Physical Science as a lab course)
Social Studies — 3 units
Physical Education — 1 unit
Computer Science — 1 unit
Foreign Language — 1 unit
Electives — 7 units
