Parent/Teacher Meetings

Open House

A drop-in Open House for parents and children is scheduled the Friday before the beginning of school from 7-9 p.m. At Open House, parents and children have an opportunity to tour the Elementary School Main Building, the Beginnings Center, the Primary Center, and the Fine Arts Center, as well as get acquainted with the classroom teachers.

Grade Level Meetings

Grade level meetings are held the second week of school. These meetings give parents an opportunity to become better acquainted with curriculum, textbooks, and daily routine. These meetings are also an opportunity to meet other parents.

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Conferences are scheduled with all kindergarten through grade six parents at the end of the first nine-week grading period. Parents receive a letter and a time selection sheet for each child's conference.

Conferences are scheduled at the close of the third grading period with all parents whose grade one through six children have a C average or below at the end of that grading period. Conferences are scheduled at the end of the third grading period for parents of K4 and K5 children who evidence weaknesses in certain academic or special areas. Any other parents who wish to schedule a conference may do so.
