The Bachelor of Arts in Practical Christian Training degree is equivalent to a full four-year program and consists of at least 130 credit hours.
Residence Requirements
Applicants for BAPCT must have completed an associate degree in residence from Bob Jones University in order to be eligible for BAPCT through the Degree Completion Program.
Credit Hour Requirements
Core requirements (120 credits)
- Conferred associate degree (96 hours) from BJU (must have been completed at least five years before admission as a Degree Completion candidate)
- 24 hours minimum of BJU Distance Learning course work
Remaining requirements (10 credits)
- 10 additional hours minimum of BJU credits (either BJU residence, approved transfer work, or Distance Learning)
- You must attain at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average on all baccalaureate coursework from BJU before the Bachelor of Arts in Practical Christian Training degree can be conferred. (Associate degree course work is not calculated into one’s GPA for the BAPCT degree.)

Bible Doctrines (Bi 401 and 402) may not be substituted for a Bible requirement since all degree programs include Christian Doctrines.
*Students who completed an Associate of Applied Arts degree must take Ma 101. Students who completed an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree must take En 102. AAS students who have completed SAS 211 Research Writing may substitute the En102 Requirement with an En 200-level elective.
