How much do your courses cost?
The tuition for independent learning and online courses is listed in our Costs section.
Yes. You may fulfill your BJU residence requirements in summer sessions and/or regular fall or spring semesters.
Yes! Even though it may have been a long time since your student days, there are several factors that work in your favor.
- You now have much more motivation to complete your degree.
- You have been learning constantly since you left BJU, and while you may need time to “dust off” specific learning skills, the basic learning process has continued.
- This program is designed with your specific needs in mind. Most, if not all, of your requirements may be met by taking BJUOnline’s independent learning and/or online courses. You learn at your own pace in the comfortable surroundings of your home, and you have a flexible class schedule. There is no need to fit your employment around your class schedule—just adjust your classes to fit your work schedule!
Do I have to come to the campus for classes?
If you are working toward a Bachelor of General Studies degree, you must complete at least 64 hours of work in residence at Bob Jones University or a recognized institution. Of those 64, a minimum of 30 hours must have been completed at BJU.
If you are working toward an Associate of General Studies degree, you must complete at least 24 hours of work in residence at Bob Jones University.
If you are working toward a Bachelor of Arts in Practical Christian Training, you will have completed your residence requirements when you graduated with your associate degree.
Should your residence requirements be incomplete at the time you apply for admission into DCP, you may complete your requirements while you are in the program.
Can I fulfill residence requirements through BJU's summer sessions?
BJU's summer session option provides short courses offered in May or June. Most of the courses needed for the residence requirement can be taken during these sessions. You may want to use some of your vacation time to take advantage of this flexible option. View our Schedule of Classes
Can I transfer credits from other institutions?
Yes. You must submit an official transcript for work completed elsewhere for evaluation as part of the admission process. Once the transcript has been evaluated, you will be notified regarding the courses that transfer into the program. After you have been accepted into the program, you must submit for approval any request to take additional work elsewhere.
You may meet some of your residency requirements at a recognized institution near you, but you must have completed at least 30 hours for the Bachelor of General Studies or 24 hours for the Associate of General Studies in residence at Bob Jones University before conferral of your degree.
