Young men in grades 11-12 (as of September 2008) and 2008 high school graduates
Experienced faculty and staff in BJU’s School of Applied Studies conduct and supervise all sessions with an emphasis on safety and professionalism.
Activities
- Gas engine—Follow service manual procedures to disassemble an engine, identify the components and their functions, and reassemble the engine
- Preventive Maintenance—Learn to identify preventive maintenance needs as indicated by worn belts and hoses, leaks and fluid levels
- Electrical—Practice using diagnostic tools such as a test light, multimeter and a scan tool
- Brakes—Learn to identify the components of several different types of braking systems and practice basic brake service procedures
