Cosmetology Camp

Young women in Grades 9-12 (as of September 2008) and 2008 high school graduates
BJU cosmetology faculty, who are licensed instructors with years of experience teaching cosmetology as well as owning and operating salons, direct Cosmetology Camp.
Activities
- Get an overview of career opportunities in cosmetology
- Learn basics of hair-care techniques and products
- Learn basics of facial and skin-care techniques and products
- Learn waxing, tweezing and browshaping techniques
- Learn hand- and nail-care techniques
- Work on mannequins, doing braiding and simple "up-dos"
- Tour the Rodeheaver stage wig and makeup department
- Attend a demonstration by a BJU cosmetology grad
