Cost: $350 (includes all camp supplies)
Grades 11-12 (as of September 2008) and 2008 high school graduates

Culinary Arts Camp is lead by BJU culinary arts faculty, who have over 50 years of combined experience in many areas of the food service industry, including resort hotels, restaurants and the private homes of executive clientele.

Activities

  • Be introduced to an array of kitchen equipment
  • Learn precision baking using good techniques
  • Learn principles of sauces
  • Learn portioning and preparation in cooking
  • Each evening, enjoy dishes you have prepared in the day’s sessions
  • Practice banquet layout and display
