The Language and Literacy Connection: Is This Child's Speech and/or Language Delayed?

This workshop briefly reviews the parameters of language as they relate to the school-aged child and normal phonological development. It will emphasize the relationship of language learning to reading and literacy. A checklist will be given to help classroom teachers identify language-based reading disabilities. Strategies for helping these children to succeed will be given.
