Exam Information
Exam Permits
- An exam permit must be presented for each examination during final exam week.
- Prior to Final Exam Week, exam permits will be released to students' post office boxes by the Business Office. Students who do not receive a permit should check with the Business Office. Accounts are to be brought up to date by Friday before exams. Replacement exam permits may be secured from the Business Office.
Exam Periods/Schedule
- No final exam will be given at a time other than what is specified for the exam schedule. (Exception: The division of music will give instructions for music lesson examinations.)
- Each exam period will be held in the regular classroom and be 70 minutes duration.
- Classes that meet on any schedule other than MWF or TTh should be examined on the basis of the first day and first hour the class meets each week.
- Those classes that meet for extended periods will be tested during that part of the class period that meets for the first full hour (top of the hour).
Exam Changes and Approval/Rescheduling Process
Students must take exams during the scheduled day and/or time for their class/section. Any changes, before or after, the scheduled day or time must be approved. Exam Change Request approval forms are available at the Records Office.
Reschedule Guidelines
- Exams taken early may not be given prior to the first day of the week of final exams.
- Exams taken late must be completed prior to the grade reporting deadline.
* Students for whom faculty have accommodated arrangements throughout the semester
+ Instructor submits approved form with exam to Testing at the Academic Resource Center or schedules proctor time individually or with another class section.
Any student who misses a final exam will earn a grade of zero for the exam unless registrar approval is given to take the exam late due to legitimate reasons.
Chapel
During final exam week (except when exams are held Saturday), chapel will be he held at the regular time. Day students must attend chapel if they have an examination or are on campus at any time during the day. Permission to miss chapel must be secured in advance in advance through Avenue.
