To be acclaimed as “the most gifted young pianist of her generation” is no small praise for 25-year-old artist Joyce Yang.
Born in Seoul, Korea, and having studied at The Juilliard School, Yang has already appeared with the finest orchestras in the world, including The Philadelphia Orchestra, the Chicago Symphony, the New York Philharmonic, and the San Francisco Symphony.
As the youngest competitor in the 2005 Van Cliburn International Competition, she was awarded the Silver Medal and also swept two additional performing awards. Since then, she has thrilled audiences around the world.
It will be a great honor for the BJU Symphony Orchestra, under conductor R. Christine Lee, to appear with Ms. Yang performing Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 2.
