Day 15 — Mon/June 05: Paris — Excursion to Versailles
Start the day with a visit to the historic PALACE OF VERSAILLES, built by Louis XIV, the Sun King. A Local Guide will show you the ROYAL APARTMENTS, HALL OF MIRRORS, and GARDENS. Later in the day, visit Montmarte and stroll through the charming narrow streets to see the sidewalk artists. This evening includes a BOAT RIDE ON THE ILLUMINATED SEINE RIVER and a visit to the SECOND FLOOR of the EIFFEL TOWER for a stunning view of the “City of Light.”
Day 16 — Tue/June 06: Paris — Eurostar Train to Ashford, England — Canterbury — London
Travel on the EUROSTAR TRAIN (in 2nd class seats) for the journey to Ashford. Board your waiting motorcoach and drive to Canterbury to visit the CATHEDRAL. Continue through Kent to London.
Tonight, after an early dinner at the hotel, MOTORCOACH TRANSFER to / from Spurgeon’s Metropolitan Tabernacle for evening service.
Day 17 — Wed/June 07: London
Morning sightseeing with a Local Guide includes all the famous landmarks: Knightsbridge with Harrods, the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben beside the River Thames, and Buckingham Palace. The morning’s highlights are a visit to WESTMINSTER ABBEY, and the ceremonial pageantry of the Changing of the Guard, if held. In the afternoon, TOWER OF LONDON AND CROWN JEWELS: a fascinating extension to your morning sightseeing tour, this afternoon visit takes in the 900-year-old Tower of London, guarded by the Beefeaters and the ravens. Your Local Guide will bring its history to life before you enter the splendid Jewel House, which shows off the priceless Crown Jewels and state gold and silverware. There’s also time to visit the Medieval Palace within the Tower’s precincts and to take a photo of Traitors’ Gate.
Note: Dinner has not been included tonight. Meeting room has not been included tonight. The evening has been left open for independent activities. Ask your Tour Director about an optional dinner & Thames cruise excursion or an optional dinner and show night excursion.
Day 18 — Thu/June 08: London
In the morning, motorcoach transfer to WESLEY’S CHAPEL AND HOME, and the nearby BUNHILL FIELDS CEMETERY, the burial place of dissenters. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Time for other visits, shopping, and preparation for tomorrow’s departure. Tonight, Farewell Dinner at the hotel.
Day 19 — Fri/June 09: London
Group Transfer to the airport for a morning departure for the United States and home cities, after experiences not soon to be forgotten – an investment bearing dividends for life.
